A rectangular coil ABCD of copper wires is rotated in a magnetic field. The direction of the induced current changes once in each
Half revolution
The direction of induced current in the side AB changes direction when half the revolution is complete because the direction of motion of the conductor will be changed. Similarly current in the side CD changes its direction when half the revolution is complete. Thus current changes direction once every half revolution (i.e., it gives rise to alternating current).
