Question

A rectangular coil having 60 turns and area of 0.4m2 is held at right angles to a uniform magnetic field of flux density 5×105T. Calculate the magnetic flux passing through it.

Open in App
Solution

Given : N=60 turns A=0.4 m2 B=5×105 T
Angle between magnetic field and area vector of coil θ=0o
Thus magnetic flux passing through the coil ϕ=NBA cosθ
ϕ=60×5×105×0.4×cos0o=1.2×103 Wb
