A rectangular diesel tanker is 2m long, 2m wide and 40cm deep. How many litres of diesel can it hold?
Length of the tanker (l)=2m
Breadth of the tanker (b)=2m
Depth of the tanker (h)=40cm=0.4m
∴ Volume =l×b×h
=2×2×0.4
=1.6m3
Quantity of diesel =1.6×1000=1600 liters [∵1m3=1000l]
