$\therefore$ Volume of ditch
= Depth $\times$ Width $\times$ Length
$=3$ $\times$ $2$ $\times$ $0.5$
$=3$ cubic m
Hence, 3 cubic m sand is needed to fill the ditch.
$\therefore$ Cost of filling 1 cubic m sand
$=Rs.10.50$
$\therefore$ Cost of filling 3 cubic m sand
$=Rs.10.50$ $\times$ 3
$=Rs.31.50$
Thus the cost of filling sand is Rs. 31.50.
