The correct option is D ₹ 50,000
Length of rectangular field = 800 m
Breadth of rectangular field = 500 m

Area of the rectangular field
= length x breadth
= 800 x 500 = 4,00,000 sq m.

Cost of ploughing for 100 sq m = ₹ 50
Cost of ploughing for 4,00,000 sq m

$= \frac{4, 00, 000 \times 50}{100}$

= 4000 x 50
= ₹ 2,00,000

But, the landlord has only ₹ 1,50,000 in hand.

Therefore, the extra amount needed to make the payment
= ₹ 2,00,000 - ₹ 1,50,000
= ₹ 50,000
