Given,
Initial area of rectangular film, Ai=4 cm×2 cm=8 cm2
=8×104 m2
Final area of rectangular film, Af=5 cm×4 cm=20 cm2
=20×104 m2
Work done, W=3×104 J
We know that, for liquid film, number of film surfaces, n=2
Work done = Surface Tension × change in surface area × number of film surfaces
W=T×ΔA×n
