Length of lawn $= 30 m$
Breadth of lawn $= 28 m$
Therefore,
Area of lawn $(A_{1}) = l \times b = 30 \times 28 = 840 m^{2}$
Now,
Length of lawn including path $= 30 + 2 + 2 = 34 m$
Breadth of lawn including path $= 28 + 2 + 2 = 32 m$
Therefore,
Area of lawn including path $(A_{2}) = 34 \times 32 = 1088 m^{2}$
Therefore,
Area of path $= A_{2} - A_{1} = 1088 - 840 = 248 m^{2}$
Cost of levelling $= R s . 5$ per square meter
Therefore,
Cost of levelling path $= 5 \times 248 = R s . 1240$
