A rectangular ground 9.8m long and 6.5m wide, has four square planters each of side 70cm . Find the area of the remaining ground.

Length of the rectangular ground=l=9.8m
Breadth of the rectangular ground=b=6.5m
Area of the rectangular ground=l×b=9.8×6.5=63.7sq.m
Side of square planter=70cm
Area of the planter=side×side=70×70=4900cm2=4900100×100m2=0.49m2
there are 4 such planters.
total area covered by the planters=0.49×5=1.96m2
Area remaining=63.71.96=61.74m2
