The correct option is A Rs. 2358 Length of the rectangular lawn=75m Breadth of the lawn=60m Width of the road=4m
Area of the road(ABCD) parallel to the length of the lawn = 75m×4m =300m2
Area of the road(EFGH) parallel to the breadth of the lawn = 60m×4m =240m2
Area of the common area in both ABCD and EFGH = 4m×4m =16m2
Total area of both the rectangular roads = 300+240−16 =524m2
Cost of gravelling the roads per m2= Rs.4.50
Cost of gravelling the roads for 524m2 =4.50×524 =2358
