A rectangular piece of aluminium sheet is $88$ m long and $40$ m broad. It is rolled along its length to form a cylinder. Find volume of cylinder formed.

Length of sheet(l) $=88$m

Breadth of sheet(b) $=40$m

Now it is rolled along its length

so the circumference $=44$cm

and height of the cylinder will be $20$m

We have to find $r$

$2\pi r=44$

$r=44\times \frac{22}{7}\times \frac{1}{2}$

$r=7$ m

Volume of cylinder $=\pi r^{2}h$

$=\frac{22}{7}\times 7\times 7\times 20$

$=3080m^3$

$\therefore$ Volume of cylinder $=3080m^3$.
