The correct option is A

50 km/hr


Length of the reservoir, l=100 m

Breadth, b=50 m

Level of water in the reservoir after 10 hours =1 m

Volume of water flown in the reservoir in 10 hours =l×b×level of water

=100×50×1=5000 m3

Volume of water flown in the reservoir in 1 hour =500010=500 m3

Area of the mouth of the square pipe =10×10=100 cm2=0.01 m2

Speed of water per hour =5000.01=50000 m/hr

Hence, speed of the water flowing in the reservoir =50 km/hr
