The paper is rolled once along its length, therefore, 44 cm forms the circumference of the base of the cylinder

$2\pi r=44$

r = 7 cm

Hence, Volume of the cylinder =$\pi r^{2}h$ = $\frac{22}{7}\times 7^2\times 18$ $=2772$ $c{m}^3$
