Given, the temperature maintained by the refrigerator is 9 °C and the room temperature is 36 °C.

Let T ref be the temperature inside the refrigerator and T r be the room temperature, then the expression for coefficient of performance CoP is given as,

CoP= T 1 T 2 − T 1

Substitute the value in the above expression.

CoP= 282 309−282 = 282 27 =10.4

Hence, the coefficient of performance of the refrigerator is 10.4.
