Question

A resistive transducer is used to measure quantity x is connected in the signal conditioning circuit as shown below. For x=10 , magnitude of sensitivity (Vo/Vs) of the circuit is ?

  1. 6.66

Open in App
Solution

The correct option is A 6.66
Using the superposition principle,

VoVs=2R3R[1+2R(1+x)R]2R(1+x)R

=23(3+2x)2(1+x)

=(432)x=23x

VoVx=23x

For x = 10,

VoVx=23x=23×10=6.66

Since sensitivity has been asked so (-) sign is omitted.

±6.666=±6.67

However both the signs are accepted as answer.
