The correct option is B 1Ω
If a 16 Ω resistor is cut into four equal parts, then if its resistance is uniformly distributed across its length, then four resistors each of resistance 4Ω are obtained.
Now if four 4Ω resistors are connected in in parallel, then the effective resistance will be,
1R=14+14+14+14
R=1 Ω.
