As we rotate a right angle triangle about its height we get a cone.
Its radius = r = Base of the triangle = 4 cm
and, height = h= 3 cm

By Pythagoras' theorem;
$\text{Hypotenuse}=\sqrt{{\text{base}}^2+{\text{height}}^2}=\sqrt{4^2+3^2}=5cm$$\left[1mark\right]$

Slant height of cone, $l=$ Hypotenuse = 5 cm

Curved surface area of the cone
$=\pi rl=\pi \times 4\times 5=20\pi c{m}^2$$\left[1mark\right]$

Volume of the cone
$=\frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2}h=\frac{1}{3}\times \pi \times 16\times 3=16\pi c{m}^3$$\left[1mark\right]$
