The correct option is C A circle of radius l2 and its center is at origin
Let, coordinates of the COM be (x,y) as shown in figure.


From the figure,

y=l2sinθ

sinθ=2yl .......(1)

And x=l2cosθ

cosθ=2xl .......(2)

Squaring and adding (1) and (2), we get,

1=4y2l2+4x2l2

x2+y2=(l2)2

This is the equation of a circle, hence COM undergoes a circle of radius l2 with its center at the origin.
