A road is made of 110 bricks resembling parallelograms of base 15 cm and height 20 cm. Find the cost of laying the road if it costs $5 per 100 cm2.

The correct option is A 1650
Given: Base =15 cm, Height =20 cm, Number of bricks =110, Cost =$5 per 100 cm2

Area of one brick = Area of parallelogram

Area of parallelogram = Base × Height

=15×20

=300 cm2

Total area of road =300 cm2×110=33,000 cm2

Cost per 100 cm2=$5

Cost of 1 cm2=5100=$0.05

Therefore, cost of 33,000 cm2=33,000×0.05

=$1650
