A rock climber climbs a hill at the rate of 2.5 m/s. If he starts climbing from 10 m above the ground surface, how much time will he take to climb the hill which is 250 m high?

Rate at which climber climbs the hill = 2.5 m/s
Total distance to be climbed by the climber = 250 m -10 m = 240 m [1 mark]
Time taken by the climber to climb = 240/2.5 = 96 sec. [1 mark]
