When rod AB rotates 90∘ in clockwise direction, it becomes horizontal. COM of rod before rotation (x1,y1)=(0,5)m COM of rod after rotating 90∘ in clockwise direction (x2,y2)=(5,0)m
The displacement of the COM of the rod is r r=√(x2−x1)2+(y2−y1)2 =√(5−0)2+(0−5)2=5√2m ∴r=5√2m
