A rod of length l is kept parallel to a long wire carrying constant current. It is moving away from the wire with a velocity v. Find the emf induced in the wire when its distance from the long wire is x.

Let I=constant current flowing in wire.
The magnetic Field due to the wire at a point P(as shown in fig.)
x is the distance from wire.
Bp=μ0I2πx into the plane
emf induced in Rod is ε given as,
ε=VBPl=μ0VI2πx
