Solution

Find the area of carpet required to cover the floor

We have given, length of carpet = 4m20cm = 4.2m

breadth of carpet = 3m65cm = 3.65m

Area of carpet is needed to cover the floor = Area of the floor of the room

=Length×breadth

=4.2m×3.65m

=15.33m2

Hence, area of carpet required to cover the floor of the room is 15.33m2.
