A room is 4m wide and 5m50cm long. How many square centimeters of carpet will be required to cover its floor?

We know that Room's floor is in the shape of a rectangle.

Area of rectangle = l×b

Length = 5m50cm = 550cm

Width= 4m = 400cm

Area= 550×400

= 220000cm2

Hence, 220000 space c m squared is of carpet will be required to cover its floor.
