Question

A room is maintained at 20o C by a heater of resistance 20 ohm connected to 200 volt mains. Solution

The correct option is A

Heat developed by the heater H=V2R.tJ=(200)2×t20×4.2

Heat conducted by the glass H=0.2×1×(20θ)t0.002

Hence (200)2×t20×4.2=0.2×(20θ)t0.002θ=15.24o C
