A rope $5 m 75 c m$ long is cut into two pieces. If one piece is $2.25 m$ long find out the length of the other piece.

Solution

Length of the rope $= 5$ m $75$ cm $= 5.75$ m
One of the piece is $= 2.25$ m
Other piece $= 5.75 - 2.25 = 3.5$ m
$∴$ the other piece is $3.5$ m
