A sample of gas at room temperature is placed in an evacuated bulb of volume 0.5 dm3 and is found to exert a pressure of 0.24 atm. The bulb is connected to another evacuated bulb whose volume is 0.63 dm3. What is the new pressure of the gas at room temperature?

Using Boyle's law, at constant temperature,
P1V1=P2V2
0.24×0.5=1.13×P2
P2=0.1062 atm
