(c) Alkalinity expressed in equivalents

=HCO3+OHH+

Milliequivalent mass of [HCO3]

=12261=2meq/L

Milliequivalent mass of [OH]

=10717meq/L

Milliequivalent mass of [H+]

=1071meq/L

The milliequivalent of [OH] and [H+] are negligible. So Alkalinity as CaCO3
