The correct option is C The maximum energy of the initially emitted photon is 12.08 eV
Number of photons initially = number of lines = 3 =n1(n11)2
So, n1 = 3
Number of photons finally = number of lines = 10 =n2(n21)2
So, n2 = 5
Maximum energy = E3E1
= ΔE = 13.6 (1132) = 12.08 eV
Minimum energy = E5E4 = ΔE = 13.6( 142152) = 0.306 eV
