Initial radius R1=3R
Final radius R2=4R
As we know that the energy of satellite is given by

E=GMem2r

Here, the initial and final energies are given as:

Ei=GMem2(3R)

Ef=GMem2(4R)

So, the extra energy required is:

ΔE=EfEi=GMem24R=mgR24=1000×9.8×6400×10324

ΔE=2.614×109 J
