Solution

The correct option is C $900$
Total charity raised $= 4800$
$\frac{1}{4}$ was taken to cover expenses
$∴ \frac{1}{4} \times 4800 = 1200$
Remaining $= 4800 - 1200 = 3600$
$\frac{3}{4}$ of the remaining given to charity A
$∴$ for A $=$ $\frac{3}{4} \times 3600 = 2700$
Remaining $= 3600 - 2700 = 900$
$∴$ B received $900$ .
