A semi circular sheet of metal of diameter $28cm$ is lend into a form of open conical cup. Find the capacity of the cup.

Diamtere of semi-circular

sheet = circumference of

the base of cone

$\therefore 2\pi r=28$

$r=\frac{28}{2\pi }=\frac{28}{2\times 3.14}=\frac{14}{3.14}$

$\therefore r=4.45cm$

Radius of semi-circular sheet =14 cm = height of cone

$\therefore$ Volume or capacity of cup = $\frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2}h=\frac{1}{3}\times 3.14\times (4.45{)}^2\times 14$

$=290.17c{m}^3$
