Let cost price of 1 kg sugar = Rs x
Hence selling price of 950 gm of sugar = Rs x
Selling price of 1 gm of sugar $=Rs\left(\frac{x}{950}\right)$
Selling price of 1 kg of sugar $=Rs\left(\frac{1000x}{950}\right)$
$=Rs\left(\frac{20x}{19}\right)$
Gain = SP - CP $=\left(\frac{20x}{19}\right)-x$ $=\frac{x}{19}$
$Gain\%=\left(\frac{gain}{CP}\right)\times 100=\left[\frac{\left(\frac{x}{19}\right)}{x}\right]\times 100=\frac{100}{19}=5.26$
Hence gain $\%$ is 5.26
