A shop vendor sold 45 chips packets, 35 chocolates and 20 biscuit packets every day. How many items would he sell in 5consecutive days?

Finding the number of item sold in 5 consecutive days:

Number of chips packets sold in one day is 45

Number of chocolates sold in one day is 35

Number of biscuit packets sold in one day is 20

Total number of items sold in one day is 45+35+20

Therefore, Total number of items sold in 5consecutive days is 5×(45+35+20)

By using associative property for addition,

a+b+c=a+(b+c)=(a+b)+c, we get

45+35+20=(45+35)+20=80+20=100

Therefore, 5×(45+35+20)=5×100=500

Hence, Total number of items sold in 5 consecutive days is 500.
