Discount $=23.5\%$ of marked price
Let the marked price be $x$.
$=\frac{23.5}{100}\times x=0.235x$
Selling price $=$ marked price $-$ discount
$\Rightarrow 1200=x-0.235x$
$\Rightarrow 1200=0.765x$
$\Rightarrow x=1568.62$
Therefore, marked price $=$ Rs. $1568.62$.
