Solution

Given, Shopkeeper bought 1000 coconuts for Rs. 8500.
50 coconuts spoiled.

He sold remaining coconuts for Rs. 12 each.
Cost of 1 coconut =8500/1000=8.5/

Cost of 1 coconut =Rs. 8.5
50 spoiled =100050=950

Sold for each Rs. 12=950×12=Rs. 11.400
He got 11,4008500=2900
Profit =Rs. 2900

Profit percentage =profitC.P.×100
=29008500×100

=34.1%.

Profit =Rs. 2900
Profit %=34.1%.
