Solution

Each subpart: 2 Marks

C.P. of the article = Rs 3450
M.P. of the article = Rs 3450 + 16% of Rs 3450
=Rs3450+16100×Rs 3450
Rs 3450+Rs 552=Rs 4002
Sales tax = 10% of 4002 = Rs 400.20
Price paid by the customer = Rs 4002 + Rs 400.20
= Rs 4402.20
