Total amount of onions bought by shopkeeper $=\frac{11}{12}$ kg

Amount of onions in each packet $=\frac{2}{15}$ kg

$\Rightarrow$ By unitary method, total number of packets $=\frac{11\times 15}{12\times 2}=6.875$

$\therefore$ Total number of packets packed $=6$

Also, he got $0.875$ packet worth of onions left. Each packet contains $\frac{2}{15}$ kg of onions,

$\Rightarrow$ Weight of onions he had left $=0.875\times \frac{2}{15}=\frac{35}{40}\times \frac{2}{15}=\frac{7}{60}$ kg
