Solution

The correct option is B

20%

Let the Marked Price be ₹ x.

The Price at which the shopkeeper buys the DVD player = x20x100 = 80x100

He spends ₹ 20 on transportation.

Sales tax at 10% on MP = 10x100

SP is inclusive of Sales Tax of 10%.

According to the problem :

110x100 = ₹ 660

x = ₹ 600 = MP

CP for shopkeeper = 80x100×MP + ₹ 20 = 80×600100 = ₹ 480 + ₹ 20 = ₹ 500

Profit = SP - CP = ₹ 600 - ₹ 500 = ₹ 100

Profit % = 100500×100 = 20%
