A shopkeeper buys a packet of wafers at Rs. 64 per packet. He spends Rs. 4 on transport of 4 packets. At what price should he sell the packet to gain 16%

Open in App
Solution

C.P = Rs 64/packed
Cost of transport packets = Rs 4
Cost of transport packet = Rs 1
Cost of transport packet = Rs 6
Total C.P = C.P = C.P + Transport packet cost
=Rs(64+1)
gain % = 16%
C.P=(100100+16)×S.P
C.P=100116×S.P
S.P=116100×C.P=116100×65=150820
=Rs75.4
