Open in App
Solution

Step 1: Finding the increased amount

C.P of an article = ₹300

Now,

Increased amount =300×20100

=3×20

= ₹ 60.

Step 2: Finding new price or marked price of the article

∴ New price = C.P + increased amount

= ₹ 300+ ₹ 60

= ₹ 360

Hence, new price of the article is ₹360.

Step 3: Finding the discount

Shopkeeper gives 10% discount on the new price.

Discount =360×10100

= ₹ 36

Hence, the discount given by the shopkeeper is ₹36.
