A shopkeeper deals in optical instruments. Once he was selling torches at very low rates in sale. The one he showed at the shop have a brilliant beam of light which travels a long distance but the one which the people bought were not the same. It was the same case with other optical instruments he was selling.
(a) which mirror is used in the torch?
(b) where is the source of light (bulb) placed in front of concave mirror of the torch?
(c) what are these characteristics of the shopkeeper?

(a) A concave mirror is used in torch .
(b) In torches :
Source of light[Bulb] is placed at Focus. So that the rays passing through focus strike the concave mirror and emerge parallel to principal axis so that the light is seen.
(c)Shopkeeper is very smart and intelligent , but he is not very true in his profession .
