Solution

The correct option is D 60%
Let the Market Price = Rs. 100, Discount = 25%
Discounted Price=Rs.100×10025100
Rs.100×75100=Rs.75
Profit=20%
Cost Price =Rs.75×100100+20
=Rs.75×100120=Rs.1252
Had he not given discount, his profit would have been
=Rs.100Rs.1252=Rs.752
Profit on Rs. 1252=Rs.752
Profit on Rs. 100 =752×2125×100=60%
