Solution

Selling price of the camera = Rs 460
Discount percent = 8%
Let the marked price be Rs x.
Discount = Marked Price × p.c. discount
= x × 8%
= 8x100

Selling price =Marked Price − Discount
⇒ Marked Price = Selling price + Discount
⇒ x = 460 +8x100
⇒ x − 8x100 = 460
92x100 = 460
⇒ x = 460 × 10092
⇒ x = 500
∴ The marked price of the camera is Rs 500.
