A shopkeeper has one spherical laddu of radius 5 cm. With the same amount of material, how many laddoos of radius 2.5 cm can be made?

Open in App
Solution

Given, radius of the spherical laddu, r = 5 cm

Volume of a spherical laddu
=43πr3=43π(5)3
=43×125π=5003π cm3

Now, radius of small laddu = 2.5 cm
So, volume of small laddu =43π×(2.5)3=62.53π cm3

Number of laddoos =Volume of spherical ladduVolume of small laddu=500π362.5π3=50062.5=8

Hence, the number of laddoos is 8.
