A shopkeeper marks his goods at such a price that would give him a profit of 10 percent after allowing a discount of 12 percent. If an article is marked at 2250 rupees, find its :

I) selling price

ii) cost price

MRP=2250

After allowing 12% Sp

Sp=mrpx(100-discount) /100

Sp=2250x(100-12)/100

Sp=2250x88/100=1980

Sp=₹1980 first answer

He also earn 10% profit, so

Cp=spx100/(100+profit %)

Cp=1980x100/110

Cp=₹1800 2nd ans
