For Toaster:
$12 % d i s c o u n t, M P = ₹ 3500$
for AC:
$20 % d i s c o u n t, M P = ?$
Purchased : $2 T V s e t s, 2 t o a s t e r & 5 A C s .$
Total Bill= $₹ 2, 17, 900$
Discounts:
On TV
$15 % o f 21500 = \frac{15}{100} \times 21500 = ₹ 3225$
On Toaster
$12 % o f 3500 = \frac{12}{100} \times 3500 = ₹ 420$
On AC
Let MP for AC be $₹ x$
$20 % o n x = 0.2 x$
total cost
$2 T V = 2 (21500 - 3225) = ₹ 36, 550 2 T o a s t e r = 2 (3500 - 420) = ₹ 6, 160 5 A C = 5 (x - 0.2 x) = 5 (0.8 x) = 4 x$
$T o t a l b i l l = 36550 + 6160 + 4 x 2, 17, 900 = 42710 + 4 x 4 x = 2, 17, 900 - 42710 x = \frac{1, 75, 190}{4} x = ₹ 43797.50$
Hence MP of AC is $₹ 43, 797.50$
saving on one AC= $0.2 \times 43, 797.50$
= $= ₹ 8759.5$
