A shopkeeper purchased '200' bulbs for 10each. However, 5 bulbs were fused and put into scrap. The remaining were sold at 12each. Find the gain or loss percent.

The cost price of 200 bulbs =200×10

=2000

It is given that '5‘ bulbs got fused, So, the shopkeeper is left with ’195' bulbs, And he sells these for12 each.

Selling Price of 195 bulbs=195×12

=2340

Here, the Selling Price is greater than Cost Price, So the shopkeeper has gained profit.

Profit=SellingPrice-CostPrice

=2340-2000

=340

Profit%=ProfitCostPrice×100

=3402000×100

=17%

Therefore, the shopkeeper gained a profit of '17%'.
