Question

A shopkeeper sells a sweater at a loss of 5 percent. If he had sold it for 260 rupees more he would have made a profit of 15 percent. Calculate the purchase price of the sweater

If the product sold at 95%(5%Loss) of Cost Price and If the product sold at 115%(15% Profit),Difference in Price=Rs. 260
which is equal to 115%-95%=20%
20%=Rs.260
100%=Rs.1300
So,Cost Price is Rs.1300
