A shopkeeper sells the solution in vessel A at Rs 15 per litre and B at Rs 30 per litre. It is given that the cost price of pure milk is Rs. 20 per liter and water is available free of cost. If he sells 16 liters from vessel A and 20 liters from vessel B. then what is the profit made by the wholesaler?
Plotting the data from the radar graph,
Total solution in Vessel A = (10 + 6) = 16 liters
Total solution in Vessel B = (15 + 5) = 20 liters
Selling price of solution in vessel A = 16 × 15 = Rs. 240
Selling price of solution in vessel B = 20 × 30 = Rs. 600
Total selling price = 240 + 600 = Rs. 840
Actual cost price of milk in vessel A and B = (10 + 15) × 20 = Rs. 500
Profit = 840 – 500 = Rs. 340
