Solution

The correct option is D 14%
Let the M.P.=Rs.x.
Then the S.P. after a discount of 9% =Rs.(xx×9100)=Rs.91x100.
But the S.P.=Rs.25935
91x100=25935x=Rs.25935×10091=Rs28500=M.P.
Now he gets 3.74% profit by selling it at Rs. 25935.
The C.P.=S.P×100100+profitp.c=Rs.25935×100100+3.74=Rs.25000
So, profit, when the S.P.is Rs. 28500 =Rs.(2850025000)=Rs.3500.
Profit=3500×10025000=14%
